May is my favorite. Because some of my friends and I have dubbed it burger month!! And if you know me at all…you know burgers are my favorite food group. So I brought you me, on a burger.

Difficulty: Level 2 (totally doable)

I have been totally MIA from here…spring has been INSANE for me. But I’m BACK! And I’m back bringing you an epic burger. What a way to get back at it, eh? For my burger epicness, I basically put my personality on a plate. Perfectly grilled hamburger patty, using Certified Angus Beef! Topped with BBQ Pulled Pork…because duh. BBQ Pork is life. I totally go to my local BBQ restaurant to get some pulled pork to top off these burgers. I tell ya, getting it from a BBQ joint is the best option. And not to mention, easier than trying to make it yourself! Then I top it with my most favorite burger topping of all time – ONION STRINGS. You guys. These are the best. And if you’ve never had them, make them. I will only ever use this recipe by Pioneer Woman because it’s the best. Seriously though, make these.

Sassy BBQ Pork Burgers

Ingredients
  1. 1 lb Certified Angus Beef ground beef
  2. 2 tbsp BBQ Sauce
  3. ½ tsp salt
  4. ½ tsp pepper
  5. ½ lb BBQ pulled pork (to save time, I just grab this from my local BBQ restaurant!)
  6. 1 recipe onion strings
  7. Buns
  8. Extra BBQ Sauce
Instructions
  1. Mix together beef, BBQ, salt and pepper.
  2. Evenly divide beef mixture into 4 sections and shape into hamburger patties.
  3. Cook patties on grill for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
  4. At this time, cook up those onion strings via this recipe
  5. Place burgers on your favorite bun and top with BBQ pulled pork, onion strings and extra BBQ sauce.
