“But…the pb ones took me to a place where all my problems melted away” -Anonymous consumer of these giant chocolate peanut butter chip cookies.
This was a real quote from someone after they tried these chocolate peanut butter chip cookies for the first time. And, I might have to agree with her. Especially when these cookies come straight from the oven. The melty-ness of the chocolate and peanut butter really do melt all your problems away. You can’t think about anything else except for how good that soft-fluffy-warm-gooey-melty-chocolate-peanutbuttery-bite was. These are the ultimate cookies to have on your terrible, no good, really bad day.
there’s a reason why these are better.
Chocolate cookies sometimes tend to be dry, that cocoa powder likes to soak up moisture. But, there is a secret in this cookie which is why it blown any other chocolate peanut butter chip cookie out of the water. (Yes, it even beat Levain Bakery in a blind taste test!!) I’m almost nervous to tell you because I don’t want this secret spreading around, but…you need this secret to make them so here goes: mini chocolate chips. An a whole lot of them. This chocolate cookie is packed with mini chocolate chips – that are practically visible to the naked eye, but oh bo y they add a chocolate melty-ness that takes away any dry-ness this cookie might have. The first ever ultra moist chocolate cookie.
the peanut butter chips matter.
We tested a lot of peanut butter chips in this giant cookie recipe. And there’s one brand that did actually make a difference. So you should most definitely use this brand when making this cookies for the ultimate peanut butter flavor. It will probably come as no surprise to you, but use the Reese’s brand pb chips. Reese’s knows what’s up when it comes to peanut butter candy, and so therefore they know what’s up when it comes to pb chips.
Do yourself a favor and make these problem melting, moist and chocolate, peanut butter melty cookies.
