Most of you have heard that I’m on this clean eating diet and Better Body Foods came into my life just at the right time, as I was beginning this clean eating trek. They stocked my kitchen shelves with all these organic products such as coconut flour, agave, coconut oil, coconut sugar, quinoa etc. I was high on life because it was just what I needed to get started on this clean eating journey.

I always have a stash of this clean eating chocolate bark in my fridge for easy snacking. A piece or two is all that I need to satisfy my sweet tooth craving. It’s so rich I can’t believe I can get away with eating this.

Clean Eating Chocolate Bark

  1. 1 cup Better Body Foods coconut oil
  2. ¾ cup cocoa powder
  3. ⅓ cup Better Body Foods agave
  4. 2 tsp Better Body Foods vanilla
  5. ½ tsp sea salt
  6. 1 ½ cups mixed nuts
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the coconut oil, cocoa powder, agave and vanilla.
  2. When well mixed, pour/spread chocolate mixture onto a tinfoil lined cookie sheet.
  3. Sprinkle sea salt and nuts onto the chocolate.
  4. Freeze for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Break apart and keep stored in the fridge for easy snacking.

  1. I am a diabetic and would love to try this recipe. Can you make it with a few spoonfuls of Stevia instead of the agave?

  2. Hi, thanks for posting the recipe! I’ve just made it with honey instead of agave and it tastes great (wow, sweet and salty with nuts, great combo! And the salt is a must if anyone wondered 🙂

    It looks like the honey dropped to the bottom of my chocolate bark so the down-side looks like caramel sort of, still great but not perfect, you read me. Just wondered if you had that problem, too, or is it because of the honey… ? I had it in the freezer for some 30 mins before taking out to chop.

    • Hey Imanu! I’m glad you liked the recipe, it is definitely one of my most favorites!! That is interesting about the honey dropping to the bottom! I have never made it with honey, so I have never experienced that problem. It has always been crisp when I take it out of the freezer. Was the honey mixed in really well before you chilled it? I wonder if mixing the ingredients over low heat until the honey completely dissolves would solve the problem…if you try it again with honey let me know if that works! But I’m glad it was still tasty 🙂

  3. I LOVE making coconut oil chocolate but somehow making chocolate bark is something I never thought to try. Ahhh, look how vegan friendly it is! You made my actual day, I’m so doing this tonight and packing some in tomorrow’s lunch!
