Step 1: Place the potatoes, onions and carrots in the bottom of your slow cooker.
Step 2: Place the chuck roast on top of the vegetables.
Step 3: Sprinkle the salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, onion and garlic powders over the meat.
Step 4: Carefully pour the beef broth and the red wine into the slow cooker.
Step 5: Cook on low for 8 hours until the meat shreds apart easily.
