These potatoes come together in only 4 steps using only 4 ingredients! Crazy easy. Mashed potatoes are the ultimate comfort food. Am I right? Especially when they’re super Buttery Mashed Potatoes, just like my dad made them all growing up. Butter is the secret ingredient to make these taste absolutely incredible! I have never made potatoes any other way. It would not be Thanksgiving without some perfect mashed potatoes! Obviously you are going to want to make these because they are super easy to put on your Thanksgiving table. You barely even have to stress about them.
4 ingredient Buttery Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients
- 8 large russet potatoes
- 3/4 cup 1.5 sticks butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Peel potatoes
- -Cut potatoes in half for faster cooking (optional)
- Step 2: Boil potatoes for 20-30 minutes until they are tender. Drain water.
- Step 3: Add butter, salt and milk to potatoes.
- Step 4: Using a potato masher, mash potatoes until they reach a perfect consistency.
- -Taste as you go, you may want to add more salt. If potatoes seem too dry, add a little milk or a little butter.
